1 - Login to Giftpro
Login to the Giftpro admin area

Once you’re logged in, click ‘Events’ in the main navigation bar, then click ‘All Events’. If you are creating / editing tickets for an event that already exists, click the actions button on the event, then click edit tickets.

Note: If you are creating tickets for the first time then you will need to create an event first. Follow the how-to guide for creating an event here.

2 - Add / Edit tickets
If you are adding a new ticket(s) click 'Add another ticket type'. If you are editing a pre-existing ticket click 'actions' on the ticket type and then click 'edit ticket type'.

Ticket type name
Give your ticket type a name that makes sense to your customer. We recommend describing the ticket as simply as possible, for example, ‘General admission' or 'Family pass'

Price
Here you can set the value of the ticket type you are creating. This is the price your customer will see on your store.

Total quantity
This is the total number of tickets that you have available to sell.

Status
a) Published - The ticket will go live on your event page and be available to purchase by your customers.

b) Scheduled - Here you can set an 'On sale from date' and a 'Stop selling on date'. Your ticket won't go live until the on-sale date and will automatically disappear from your store on the stop date.

c) Draft - If you wish to save the ticket you're creating but do not wish for it to be published onto your store just yet, then simply select draft before saving.

Visibility
a) Public - The ticket is listed on the event page and visible to all visitors.

b) Direct Link - This feature allows you to keep a ticket type hidden from the event page unless it is accessed by a special URL. Useful if you're looking to offer VIP customers exclusive access to a special ticket type.

Add a description to the ticket type (optional)
Let your customers know what they can expect to receive when purchasing a particular ticket type.

Limit quantity per order
Restrict the number of tickets that can be purchased by one customer at any given time. Using this feature can help reduce ticket resale.

Add basket customisation fields
If you would like to ask your customer any specific questions i.e. Do they have any dietary requirements? or what's the attendee name? add those fields here.

Once you've ticked the appropriate box and saved your changes these questions will appear on the basket page of the checkout. These can be made 'required' by simply ticked the required tick box.

3 - Waitlist (optional)
Once tickets are sold out, the waitlist allows customers to enter their email address on a waitlist which you can then use to notify them if stock becomes available.

Time to respond
The number of minutes each recipient has to buy tickets before the next person on the waitlist is emailed. This can be useful to create a sense of urgency around the availability and also gives other customers a chance to purchase tickets should the first recipient no longer wish to buy tickets.

4 - Ticket quantity prompt
To create a sense of urgency you can display a message on the event page alerting the customer of the number of remaining tickets.

Display stock
Leave this field blank if you wish the prompt to always be displayed, or you can choose to only display the prompt when remaining stock is less than a specified amount.

Prompt text
This is where you can amend the prompt text. Should you wish to change it from the default text simply write your new text in the input fields and check you are happy with the preview displayed below.
