How to redeem Gift Vouchers

In this guide, you'll learn how to redeem a gift voucher using your Giftpro account.

In this guide, you'll learn how to redeem a gift voucher using your Giftpro account.

A unique code is automatically generated and assigned to each gift voucher when a customer orders. When the gift voucher recipient visits your venue to redeem it, you can use Giftpro’s admin area to quickly search for the code and check its validity status and expiry date. The voucher’s status is updated to redeemed with a click of a button.

1. From the Dashboard, you can click either Redeem Voucher on the left-hand menu or paste the voucher code into the field in the Redeem Item element on the Dashboard and click the Search button:

The gift voucher code combines the order number and some randomised digits.

2. You’ll then be redirected to this page, which provides a summary of the voucher details and the validity status:

3. If you need to leave any notes on this transaction, scroll down toward the bottom of the page and leave notes in the field provided before clicking Add Note on the bottom right-hand side:

4. If you don’t need to leave any notes, scroll back to the top of the page and click the Redeem button on the right-hand side:

5. You’ll see a notification at the bottom of the page advising you that the voucher code has been redeemed, and you’ll see in the Activity element that this has been updated accordingly:

6. Remember, if your customer changes their mind, you can unredeem a voucher by following the steps in this guide.

Additional Grace Periods

Additional grace periods enable vouchers to be redeemed even after they have expired. From a financial reporting standpoint, this approach is much cleaner than allowing the voucher to expire and manually reverting its status to valid before redeeming it.

For API Users
